Steering-or-sleepwalking

This article focuses on the acute need for more social responsibility in relation to computing. It builds on a meeting at the headquarters of the Association for Computing Machinery on that topic. It contains a draft which has not been approved or reviewed by the ACM or anybody in any official capacity. It contains acknowledgments of the importance of the topic, many of which are contrary to the implicit narrative of the role of computing.
