CIRAL Home Office

This week I spent the bulk of my CIRAL time working on sorting out the assigned and outstanding tasks for the spring forum.

Introduction/ Welcome- Doug
World Cafe'
Open Space exercise- using some of the results of the World Cafe'.  Possibly facilitated by past students?
Past student panel discussion.
Community member panel discussion. (If we get some)

What next?  Doug discussing the concept of "Global Hunt for Civic Intelligence" (possibly identifying cluster projects for Fall/Summer 2016)

This is just a compilation of discussions we have had as a group with some of the ideas Doug has presented as well. We should try to finalize the agenda sometime in the next two weeks once Doug makes it back into USA air space.

Tasks outstanding;

Publicity flyer- Warren
Reach out to community members- Greg
Reach out to past students and see where they want to participate- Jay
Contact 3-6 current TESC teachers who teach civic intelligence related topics and interview/invite- McKensie/Whitney
Develop evaluation process- Rudyard/ Jay
Food. Are we going to have it, what do we have, who pays for it?- Jay

I also met with a consultant, Don Chalmers from Sparrowhawk Consulting, who facilitates community meetings.  We discussed some of the key factors that make an event a success or failure.  I learned a lot from this meeting and would like to apply it to future events.
