Jumped into the world of conservation conversation

I have been apart of a wonderful couple of internships with the Nisqually Tribe working on their salmon recovery operations. There, I was initiated into the world of networking between the many different environmental organizations, government agencies, coorperate players, and public partners involved with the activity of the watershed. My time there however was on the outskirts of the operation, I was there, but my job was to do my job. This did not involve creating all of the numerous pathways which made up the body of the communication network. Now, I am in the position where I am attempting to construct such a network in the name of the Saint Blaize Biodiversity Forum. The projects goals are to unite the areas various research organizations with our entity to build a baseline of data to establish as many areas as possible within the municipality of Mossel Bay as protected sites in the eyes of land conservation.
