Spring Week 2
Submitted by Micmck on Sat, 2016-05-07 06:40
The last two weeks have been unfortunately chaotic. My boss, who previously commited to permanently switching shifts with my coworker, Reuben, and I, has continued to back out of each week so far. This means I will be working during class this Wednesday and will have to rush to class as soon as we close at 8:30. This hasn't affected my individual progress in the Volunteer cluster, but it has made it difficult to coordinate with my group.
This week I emailed William Saguil of the South Sound Volunteer Coordinators group to see if I could present my project idea to the group and I am waiting to hear back. I think that will be the best way to connect with a lot of non-profits and get their feedback.
I am definitely going to need my group's help connecting with both these organizations and businesses, but I couldn't really gauge how interested they all were from the first meeting, but I am hoping next week will be better.
