Veterans Affairs and the Homeless

We had a fairly active week this week, four members of our group attended a Homeless 2016 census in Olympia this past Thurs.  It helped our group by defining the direction that we need to go. As we tried to talk to many of the homeless, based on our findings it did not seem that they wanted to be asked a lot of  questions therefore we will not be using our survey.  We did make contact with area businesses that were willing to post veteran information, either in the ammo cans or informational pamphlet . We also met another Veterans group from South Puget Sound Community College, with this connection we will be  able to piggy back off their program and vice versa.   Wednesday we plan on attending a tour of the Quixote homeless village to see their setup and perhaps interview some of the inhabitants.
