Week 2 (Spring Quarter)

Food Cluster:

I have yet to meet with a cluster outside of class with my schedule and distance from Evergreen, however have remedied that problem this week and plan to meet very soon.

I have been focusing my attention on the food farm for the Tumwater school project and identifying useful resources. Particularly http://www.farmtoschool.org/Resources and even more specifically http://www.farmtoschool.org/Resources/Getting%20Started%20with%20F2S.pdf. The PDF is a checklist on how to start a food farm for a school and how to create connections between the school, the community and the farm, while the website is geared to offering as much useful information in creating these farms as possible.

My next focus will be collaborating with other cluster members on their progress and how to put ideas into action. Also, while I may not be able to meet as much as other members of the cluster I need to pin down a way to be more involved either through e-mail or tele/videoconference.

Nonprofit Cluster:

I have created a flier for the Nonprofit Panel taking place on May 7th that I will be bringing to nonprofit meeting today (4-16). I am also creating a generic e-mail to be sent to panel members to ensure that they are prepared and have any/all questions answered about the panel they will be attending.
