Juvenile Justice
Went to the Powwow on Saturday and watched students we've worked with engage in tribal activities. 2 of our members are veterans and were recognized. Gifts we helped work on were passed at to attendants.
Scholarships are being researched and a date is set for May 5th for Deanna to meet with the Green Hill principal and education advocate and myself to talk about scholarship opportunities.
Community Collaboration
The Yelm Business Association met with the Centralia Downtown Association president and myself on April 28th for an idea share. The YBA has had trouble collaborating with the city and wanted ideas on how it could gain the city's support. Ideas for intercity events were discussed as well (such as a Yelm to Centralia bike ride).
I met with the Adopt A Block planning committee and am in charge of logo design, email communication, and am one of a few in chprogram outreach to gather new adopters.
