Weekly update

This week I spent more time researching farmer's markets online, and I also went to 2 farmer's markets in Seattle to conduct additional research.  On Monday I attended the monthly meeting of the Eastside Neighborhood Advisory Council of Tacoma, on invite from Ulysses.   The meeting had liaisons from the police and fire departments, city council, city manager's office, Metro Parks, and a few others including Ulysses.  Some of the things that were talked about include; recent burglaries, an upcoming community forum to discuss the impacts of the marijuana legalization (I-502), the new community center, the new farmers market coming to the East-side Neighborhood, and a community survey for residents in the neighborhood.    Overall, the meeting was very informative.  I plan to start attending meetings in my community.
