Weekly update

This week I went to check out the Beacon Food Forest in Seattle. While there, I met one of the volunteers who has been working at the food forest since it started.  I talked with him about how the food forest began, community involvement in getting the food forest started, ongoing care and maintenance of the food forest, benefits to the community, and the ongoing issues with securing funding.  He also told me about an upcoming community work party, which I may attend.
